As an electrical contractor, Kachemak Electric Co.
provides an approved Federal & State apprenticeship program
for its employees who have not attained their journeyman
classification. Kachemak Electric Co. is
registered with the United States Dept. of Labor, Bureau of
Apprenticeship and Training through the Alaska Joint
Electrical Apprenticeship Training Trust. Besides
giving the employees incentive to complete the programs for
their own benefit, Kachemak Electric Co. joins with the
local I.B.E.W. to maintain a degree of electrical fundaments
and knowledge not normally found among apprentice
electricians The commercial journeyman
electricians employed by Kachemak Electric Co. have been
trained in all phases of the electrical industry, ranging
from basic residential, conduit, and commercial wiring to
sophisticated low and high voltage control circuits and
signal applications, as well as communication and data
networking experience. We are also well trained in
explosion-proof wiring.
Kachemak
Electric Co. has a NICET level II certification authorizing
us to certify, install and repair all types of fire alarm
systems. Within the State of Alaska’s requirements, we can
certify both new and existing fire alarm systems.
